To prepare little learners for a successful life ahead on a solid foundation of physical education, functional skills and faith-based values.

  • Physical Development

We recognize the tremendous benefits of physical activity — from simple motion to personal swim instruction — in building young learners’ confidence and coordination.

  • Compassion

We show love and care for each student, seeing all as unique and beautiful children of God.

  • Character

We value respect, responsibility, patience and honesty — a reflection of the values our community shares.

  • Variety

We enhance physical and academic education with a range of tools, resources and activities to accommodate individual learning types.

  • Community

We are a family made of many families, all supporting each other and contributing together to the world around us.

Megan Garner, Director

Megan received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Nicholls State University in 2010. From there she taught for two years before becoming the Director of the Intergenerational Preschool on campus where she was commended for her great attention to detail. After marrying her husband, Steven, in 2014, she traveled the U.S.

Her four-year-old son, Jackson, was born in San Francisco, CA, and her two-year-old daughter, Everly, was born in Vicksburg, MS. With now a decade of experience, Megan is an energetic early childhood educator, skilled in multitasking, organization and communication. She is a huge asset to Mudbug Academy, and we feel blessed to have her children enrolled as well.
